Meet Dr. Patterson

Alan B. Patterson, MD is an experienced and compassionate OB-GYN practicing in Coral Springs, Florida. Dr. Patterson treats women of all ages and provides a wide range of services including delivery and pregnancy care, ultrasounds, birth control, pap smears, and treatments for osteoporosis, HPV, incontinence, and fibroids. Dr. Patterson is known for the gentle and personalized care he offers to his patients, developing relationships to help them lead healthier lives. When he is consulting with his patients, his attention is directed 100% at his patients, instead of directing his attention at his computer while taking notes like many other providers.

Dr. Patterson completed his medical degree at Indiana University School of Medicine before serving his internship and residency in obstetrics and gynecology at St. Vincent Indianapolis Hospital. He’s certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, is a member of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, and the Florida Obstetric and Gynecologic Society.

Dr. Patterson’s patients benefit from his highly personalized approach to healthcare. He tailors treatment plans and services to meet the specific needs of each individual patient, ensuring they receive the best possible care. He ‘s available 7 days a week and offers same-day appointments if necessary.

New patients are currently welcomed at his office in Coral Springs. Most major forms of insurance are accepted.

Obstetrics patients receive one-on-one care from Dr. Patterson, beginning at the start of pregnancy, through delivery, and during postpartum follow-ups, unlike large OBGYN groups, where patients may see multiple doctors.

Dr. Patterson now offers telemedicine appointments! Please call us to see if your need for services qualifies for this type of appointment. We may see you for a telemedicine appointment for the following conditions: yeast infections, UTIs, birth control consults, vaginitis (vaginal infections), hormone replacement therapy consults, pre-menopause, menopause, amenorrhea, and abnormal periods. If your need for services qualifies, we will send you information to download a free Telehealth app to conduct your appointment. Your appointment will be billed to your insurance.

Our Cancellation & No Show Policy
Please do not request an appointment through the online booking tool if you do not plan to attend your appointment. Dr. Patterson sets time aside for each and every patient to ensure that they receive his full attention and the best possible care. When patients no-show, this removes valuable time that may be used to see another patient. If you do not show up to your appointment at your scheduled date/time or you do not cancel your appointment 24 hours in advance, you will be assessed a $35 no-show fee.

If you book an online appointment online, you must call the office 24 hours prior to the appointment to confirm it. You must speak with the office staff to complete your patient profile prior to the appointment or the appointment will be cancelled. If you book an appointment the night before, you must call the office the next morning as soon as it opens to confirm your appointment to complete your profile, or the appointment will be cancelled. Doctor Patterson has been my gyno since I moved to Boca 17 years ago and I have followed him wherever he goes because there is nobody like him. He’s very knowledgeable, kind, available, patient, and caring. He has the best interest of his patients in mind and always provides detailed explanation, allows for questions, personally calls me back, offers suggestions on what to do, and offers options and advice that work well with my financial situation/insurance too. The ladies at the front are helpful and accommodating as well. Doctor Patterson is a family guy that will take good care of you. I 100% recommend him.

I met Dr. Patterson almost 18 years ago when he delivered my daughter in 2015 and all I can say is he is yet to disappoint! He is a tentative, responsive, and actually cares about his patients and how they’re feeling about upcoming procedures and with any concerns they might have. I’m currently a little over 5 months pregnant with being due in March and just like my last pregnancy he’s been nothing but amazing! Highly recommend!

Dr. Alan Patterson is the best ob/gyn in the state. I have been a patient of Dr. Patterson for 20 years. He is absolutely the best! I referred dozens of friends and they all love him. He delivered both of my girls healthy and professionally. He is very knowledgeable in infertility, obstetrics and gynecology. I trust him so much to deliver my babies that I live north of Tampa but continued to use him as my doctor throughout my second pregnancy, even though the drive was over 4 hours. I have been most impressed with Dr. Patterson and his office staff. Efficient is the word to use. This physician is relatively new to me but I am most impressed with his modus operandi. He gives an explanation about what needs to be done, Favors homeopathic treatments and rightly so, made it known to me that gynecologic issues are the purview of the OB/Gyn provider not one's PCP. How right he is. He personally responds to patients' phone calls promptly via one's own E-mail or by a phone call. Unheard of in 98% of patient/physician interactions.

I was referred to Dr. Patterson by two different friends of mine after moving to FL 17 years ago. Thereafter, we shared the birthday of our children together, thanks to Dr. Patterson’s amazing care! It was truly the best, most lifesaving referral I have ever been given. Dr. Patterson has been the most amazing, professional, compassionate and knowledgeable doctor throughout all phases of my life during these 17 years. It was such a relief to find Dr. Patterson after years of seeking the right Gyno for me. I am 25 years old and have a history of complications related to birth control/hormones/and stubborn systemic candida. Dr Patterson took the time to answer all my (nervous) questions in the most caring and compassionate way. Despite me having undergone standard Pap smear tests one week prior, Dr Patterson took the initiative to do additional culture testing for rare bacteria that is often overlooked by many doctors. He squeezed me in for an appointment the following morning, and I was made comfortable by him and his staff. It also stood out to me that Dr Patterson was respectful if not agreeing with my holistic views on past health issues/treatment, which is entirely new for me. He is an extremely knowledgeable, patient, and understanding doctor. I immediately felt comfortable in Dr Patterson's care, and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a new Gyno!

Dr. Patterson is truly the best, most caring, understanding and thorough physician I have ever had. I have Crohn's Disease and have been going to him for 15 years now, which often complicates my health and childbirth. Dr Patterson has been my OBGYN for almost 14 years. I have always been super comfortable in his office. The staff has been there for many years, which is always a good sign. They are friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. As for Dr Patterson- well simply put he is a doll! His mild manner and incredible communication makes him almost your friend.
